Advanced Dental Technology,

Thoughtfully Used

Technology plays an important supporting role in the care we provide, working hand in hand with clinical expertise and an artistic approach to dentistry. Every tool we use is selected to improve precision, support clarity, and help our patients better understand their oral health.

Advanced equipment allows us to diagnose more accurately, plan more carefully, and deliver treatment efficiently, helping you feel confident and reassured in your care. It also helps us explain what we see and why we recommend certain options so that you can make informed decisions and feel reassured in your care. When combined with experience and an artistic sensibility, technology helps ensure results that are both functional and visually balanced.

Digital Imaging & Diagnostic Technology

iTero® Digital Scanners

We use iTero® Digital Scanners to capture detailed, three-dimensional images of your teeth and bite. This allows us to take precise digital impressions without the discomfort of traditional molds.

Digital scans help us plan restorations, monitor changes over time, and show you exactly what we’re seeing. This detailed imaging supports careful treatment planning and improved safety.

Planmeca® Cone Beam CT Imaging

Cone-beam CT imaging allows us to view the teeth, bones, and surrounding structures in three dimensions. This level of detail supports safer, more accurate planning for procedures such as implants, surgical care, and complex restorations.

By understanding anatomy in greater depth, we can plan treatment with confidence and reduce uncertainty.

CariVu™ Caries Detection

CariVu™ technology helps us detect areas of tooth decay using transillumination rather than traditional X-rays alone. This can allow us to identify cavities earlier, when treatment may be more conservative.

Early detection supports our philosophy of preserving natural tooth structure whenever possible.

In-House Digital Dentistry

Glidewell Milling System

Our in-house Glidewell Milling System allows us to create crowns and temporary restorations right here in the office. This means greater control over fit, materials, and quality, and fewer appointments for many patients.

By combining digital design with clinical expertise, we deliver restorations that are both precise and durable, ensuring they are fit and durable.

3D Printing Technology

We use 3D printing technology to create highly accurate models and guides that support treatment planning and restorative work. These models help ensure precision at every step and allow us to plan care carefully before treatment begins.

Laser dentistry allows for precise treatment of both hard and soft tissues, often with greater precision and improved ease during recovery compared to traditional techniques. At River Oaks Dental Arts, we use advanced laser technology thoughtfully, selecting it when it offers clear clinical benefits.

Our Fotona laser system can be used for a range of procedures, including cavity treatment, soft-tissue surgical procedures, gum recontouring, and desensitizing treatments for sensitive teeth. Laser dentistry may offer a gentler approach for certain procedures and can support a smoother recovery experience for some patients.

In some cases, laser therapy may also be used for specialized treatments such as NightLase, which can help reduce snoring, or SmoothLase, a non-surgical option designed to support collagen production and soften fine lines around the mouth.

We’ll always explain when laser treatment is recommended and why it may be appropriate for your care.

Patient-Focused Technology

The Wand® Anesthesia System

For patients who are sensitive to injections, we offer The Wand®, a computer-assisted anesthesia system designed to deliver anesthesia more comfortably and with greater control, allowing for a gentler experience during numbing and supporting patient care throughout treatment.

Well-Being Support & Amenities

In addition to clinical technology, we prioritize personalized care options throughout your visit. Our Comfort Menu is designed to help you feel relaxed and supported, whether that means adjusting the environment or offering simple amenities that make your time with us more pleasant.

During your appointment, you may choose from a range of complimentary care options, including supportive pillows and blankets, music or sound-dampening options, eye and facial comfort items, and gentle supports for sensitive areas. Each element is selected with intention and prepared with cleanliness and care.

We encourage patients to silence and put away their phones during their visit, allowing time and attention to remain focused on your care and overall experience.

Relax. You’re in good hands.
